Easy FALL FOLIAGE Scrapbooking Layout Idea

If you love quick, easy and uncluttered scrapbooking page ideas...I think you will appreciate this one done in a Fall - Autumn theme. We had taken a quick road trip up north last year to view the Fall Foliage and I wanted to make just a few pages to preserve the memories from our trip.

I am a traditional scrapbooker so this page is in the 12" by 12" format. Sorry, I'm not into digital scrapbooking at all. I love touching paper and making my pages all on my own!

The background is a sheet of textured cardstock in a dark mustard color. I had a piece of scrapbooking paper that had an all-over leaf printed pattern on it. I decided to cut out my own border and just cut around the leaves. I used a glue stick to adhere the border to the left-side of my page.

I double matted my two 4" by 6" photos onto dark red and dark sage green cardstock and left an 1/8" edge around each mat. I used the Cricut Paper Dolls cartridge to cut out my sign from brown cardstock (part of the camping paper dolls set) and then used my fine tip chalk ink marker in white to write the words ROAD TRIP.

I used another cartridge (forget the name of it) to cute out the word BEAUTIFUL from dark red cardstock and then used the shadow feature to cut out the same word from dark sage green cardstock. I layered them together with adhesive and stuck it at the top of the page. From that same cartridge I cut out two corner leaves that are used for photo corners but used them as page corners on the layout. They are layered together from dark red & dark sage green cardstock, just like the title.

Overall, I love this page because I wanted the colorful photos of the Fall Foliage to be the main attraction. I didn't want a lot of clutter because it's a nature themed page.
