Outdoor Wedding Scrapbooking Layout Idea

My daughter got married back in September of 2014 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. She had over 125 guests in attendance and everything went beautifully for her big day. Now that things are settling down, we have been busy working on her wedding scrapbook. We are traditional scrapbookers and always scrapbook with paper and avoid digital scrapbooking.

This layout was done in the traditional 12 x 12 size. The background is a sheet of solid light turquoise colored textured cardstock. Layered onto that piece is a printed piece of cardstock with an Asian floral print measuring 10 x 10 in size. She took a liquid glue pen and went around the edges with a chocolate brown piece of velvet fiber.

She cropped down (slightly) 3 photos, rounded their corners and then matted them onto dark brown cardstock. We used a purchased pack of chipboard & cardstock stickers from the dollar store (Yes, the dollar store) to accent the page. The "LOVE" title embellishment, the "Heart & Bird" tag and the "Heart & Arrow" are all from that one pack! Talk about being frugal...yes indeed!

She also added a small silver metal key from one of her old diaries as a teen to the page & we looped some of that brown fiber through the key opening & tied it into a bow. There is a tag between the top two photos that says "YOU & ME" that she inked around the edges and attached it to the page with tiny brown brads. It was leftover from another project.

Overall, I think her page came out very nicely. It took her less than 1 hour to do and the total cost for the page was approximately $2.65. Gotta love that!

The scrapbook is very pretty and it's difficult to believe it cost so little!
