Little Girl's Birthday Party Scrapbooking Layout Idea

Now that my daughter's wedding is over with...I am starting to find more time to sit down and scrapbook. I am about 9 months behind on getting my layouts done and it is time I kick it back up into high gear.

This scrapbook layout is in the traditional 12x12 size. Yes, I still do paper layouts as I hate digital scrapbooking. Those who love it, to each their own I guess.

I had 4 decent photos from my little grand daughter's 5th Birthday party and decided to squeeze them all onto one page and then filled up the page with a variety of embellishments.

This layout features 4 large photos and is done in a light pink, medium pink, yellow and purple color scheme. My background is a sheet of medium pink cardstock and I accented that with a torn piece of pink floral print scrapbooking paper that is attached on the left side.

The 3 largest photos are matted onto light purple printed scrapbooking paper and ran in a column down the right side of the page. The 4th photo is square shaped and matted on pink printed scrapbooking paper and then the light purple. It is on the left side on the layout.

I didn't want to get too fancy or go overboard so I used a variety of chipboard 3-dimensional embellishments on this layout. I mixed in matched from different embellishment packs from my craft stash and this is what I came up with. I did add the name "Gia" down the left side in black alpha stickers just so I had her name on the page.

Journaling was done on the backside of the page and YES...there is nothing wrong with doing that! I do it quite often when I run out of room or if I don't want journaling over-crowding my page.
