Today's Christmas Scrapbooking Layout is a very quick and easy layout...great for beginners who are just learning to scrapbook or for those looking for frugal page ideas. This layout is in the classic 12" x 12" format.
The background is a sheet of red, green and white plaid paper. The big snowman cutout in the bottom left cover is from a greeting card that I received last year. I cut him out and lightly misted him with archival mist spray to make him safe for my scrapbooks. I put him on the page using adhesive foam dots.
Using my Cricut I cut out the words "Happy Christmas" using the 1 1/2" size setting from red cardstock and then used the shadow feature and cut out those words again from green cardstock. I layered them together using a liquid glue pen.
Using that same cartridge I cut out a red star and a green star and layered them together. I used my liquid pearls to add dots to the star to jazz it up a bit. Left dry and then attached it to the left of the title wording. To finish up, I added a clear adhesive quote sticker that says "I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. ~ Charles Dickens" which was placed right underneath the title.
The Christmas layout is a LOT nicer than what these photos show. My camera was acting up so I couldn't get decent pictures. If you want your title to stand out more...reverse the colors by cutting green letters/words first and using the shadow effect to repeat them in red.

This is a beautiful Christmas layout. I think I would reverse the colors of the letters to make them stand out a little more or perhaps it is just the lighting since your camera was acting up.
